Flower Farm

 

The flora offerings at Cedar Bloom unfurl with the seasons.

We are fortunate to have over 99 acres situated in the Illinois River Valley, one of the most bio diverse regions in the world. Our soils are rich with minerals and nutrients, with varying micro climates that allows for a very happy environment for flowers to blossom.  We have over 30 different varieties of Dahlias that we grow, with some of our greenhouse varieties beginning to bloom as early as June. We have a dozen different dahlia and zinnia types, poppies, cosmos, stock, cone flowers, and many more cut varieties coming in Spring. Each year we expand our flower offerings by growing a variety of new blooms. We have a diverse group of native pollinator and medicinal species on the land that offer wild blooms throughout the year. These are great additions to bouquet design that create an infusion of the floral offerings at Cedar Bloom.

Sharing our flower offerings with the community is part of our dream and there are a few ways to enjoy the blooms of Cedar Bloom. If you are staying with us or hosting an event on the land, we offer seasonal bouquets at our Camp store, and our flower varieties can also provide some floral beauty for your big day.  

One of our most exciting offerings is our Seasonal flower bouquet subscription that is from July-October. You have the gift of a fresh cut bouquet at your pleasure throughout that season. You can pick up at our camp store on Tuesdays or at the Kerby farmers market on Fridays.

Wedding and Event Floral

 

We welcome our wedding parties to add arrangements fresh from our gardens to enhance their special day’s floral experience. We work directly with each Wedding party to custom cut what we have growing at that time. We can provide photos and color palettes before the wedding date. We offer 3 options for pricing:  “by the bucket” , “per stem” pricing, or full service arrangement and bouquet design. Inquire for more info.

Flower Farm FAQ

 

  • In general, cut dahlias can last anywhere from 5 to 7 days in a vase. However, with proper care and attention, their lifespan can be extended even further.

  • Only our Eucalyptus can ship out of state.

  • During late summer and early Fall 2025 we will be welcoming folks to Cedar Bloom to come pick their own personal bouquets. This can be an add-on to your camping stay, or email us to arrange a bouquet making experience with our staff (min 7 participants).
