“We love Cedar Bloom! It was our 10th wedding anniversary and we wanted to spend it on this beautiful land. This was our 4th time there and we stayed in the lovely RiverDome! It was so nice to have a cozy fire from the wood stove burning the whole time. Samantha, who lives on site was so lovely and kind. She brought up a bunch of wood for us in the pouring rain and brought us a beautiful bouquet of flowers from the land to celebrate our anniversary. We enjoyed the sauna, the beautiful shower that overlooks the river, and during a break in the rain walked around the property and down to the river with our dogs. We love Cedar Bloom and will be back next year!”

“This place is an absolute dream. 24/7 tea house with hot water on tap, sauna, outdoors showers overlooking the Illinois, a whole stretch of which is private swimming, some of the nicest composting toilets I have ever seen, full grade commercial kitchen, and 100 acres of free camping to chose from. Best of all, the land felt amazingly clean and safe. We felt like we were in deep nature one moment, then in community with amazing humans and facilities the next moment. Could not recommend this place more!”

“The vibe, the spaciousness, the amenities, the friendliness, the options, the care… it was just so lovely. I accidentally spilled tea on the sheets. They said “best thing you can do is go get another cup of tea. We’ll handle the rest.” They’re good people, they’re neighborly, and achieving a feeling of both privacy and coziness is rare and lovely. A+”

“Cedar Bloom is an incredible Sacred Land… the perfect place to slow down, connect with nature, and experience your own personal retreat. The expansive forest, river swimming, outdoor sauna & showers make the whole experience Divine… and waking up in the River Dome to the sunrise pouring in through the trees was sublime. We can’t wait to return.”

“I was skeptical, it seemed a little pricey. Absolutely amazing experience, they have everything you could want and more. Hot sauna, river access, beaches, communal kitchen, BATHROOMS, coffee and tea, SHOWERS! I’ve stayed at a lot of campsites and campgrounds, there is truly something special about this place.”

“We had a great time by the calm and deep river. We saw fish swimming around and enjoyed swimming, kayaking, and floating. The campground was spacious, and the portable toilets smelled like lavender and eucalyptus, which was a pleasant experience. We were camping with two other families, including kids, teenagers, young adults, and us, the older generation. Everyone said their favorite part was the shower that overlooked the river. We’ll be back again!”

“Simply incredible! We stayed in the sun a frame which was amazing. The compost toilets were very well maintained, the communal kitchen made our lives so much easier and the river overlook shower was gorgeous and freeing! The land was absolutely stunning as well. Seriously, the perfect little get away from life’s chaos. We will certainly be back!”

“Rented an A-frame cabin for a couple of nights as a quick getaway and had the most relaxing and lovely experience. Cedar Bloom is a place that’s cared for with a lot of love. It’s clean, comfortable, and the land and river are beautiful. I loved that we had use of a walk in fridge and large kitchen. It made preparing for the trip so easy because it’s not necessary to lug a bunch of camping cooking gear, dishes, silverware, etc. It wasn’t super busy when we went so we felt almost like we had the River to ourselves. Use of the sauna is so luxurious and relaxing, and having showers and toilets was nice too. I’d definitely love to return. This place is really special.”

“This place is heaven on earth - the sauna is perfection, the swimming hole is gorgeous, the showers are well kept and warm, bathrooms are clean, land is beautiful and bountiful, people are delightful. I’ve been here once during the winter and once during the summer and I can confirm this is the perfect vacation.”

“The land and sleeping in the A-frame was better than what I imagined. The most amazing was the mermaid rock and swimming hole. I could’ve stayed all summer. We were only there 1 night but did explore a bit. I loved seeing the flowers blooming in the greenhouse, the outdoor shower above the river the sauna and the tea house were all lovely. This place has so much to offer! The one regret was not being able to stay longer to enjoy it all more. As we left we spotted a pair of newborn fawns and their mama close by, a more precious sight rarely seen. Will certainly be back.”
